INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a company based in Memphis, TN. In this role, you will have the opportunity and be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining manufacturing and production equipment in a fast-paced food production environment. This role helps minimize downtime while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to support production goals.

Pay Rate 
$30.00 – $35.00 per hour (depending on your experience) 

Schedule and Hours 
Rotating 12-hour shifts, shifts will be discussed and chosen within the interview process but mostly are needing 4am-4pm 3 days on, 4 days off

Industrial Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
  •  Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment
  •  Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, packaging machines, motors, pumps, and production lines
  •  Diagnose equipment malfunctions using schematics, manuals, and testing devices
  •  Install, replace, and align motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and other components
  •  Perform electrical troubleshooting including sensors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, and control panels
  •  Conduct welding, fabrication, and minor machine shop work as needed
  •  Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
  •  Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
  •  Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, lockout/tagout, and food safety standards
  •  Assist with continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades
  •  Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient operations
Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements
  •              High school diploma or GED required
  •              Technical school certification or maintenance training preferred
  •              2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, food production, or distribution preferred
  •              Experience with electrical troubleshooting up to 480V preferred
  •              Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems
  •              Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
  •              Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  •              Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  •              Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  •              Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
  •              Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy manufacturing environments
  •              Ability to climb ladders and work around moving equipment
  •              Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  •              PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  •              VFD and motor controls
  •              Preventative maintenance systems
  •              Food manufacturing experience
  •              CMMS experience
