Accounts Payable Clerk

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a non-profit organization serving the Chattanooga community. Primary duties include posting agency payments and resolving discrepancies. This is a temporary assignment up to 12 weeks. 
 
Pay rate 
$17.00 per hour 
 
Schedule and Hours 
Up to 30 hours per week
Monday- Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm and Friday 7:30am-noon
 
Accounts Payable Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily bank deposits using a remote capture scanner and post to agency accounts in Primarius
  • Prepare monthly billing Vouchers for specific agencies
  • Reconcile Agency Statements and identify discrepancies, tracking to the source and correcting them
  • Communicate with agency representatives regarding credit balances, errors in payment, and collaborate with the community impact team to collect overdue balances past 90 days
  • Enter vendor invoices into the AP approval system. Ensure they are coded to the correct general ledger code, as well as tagged to specific grants when appropriate
  • Monthly reconciliation of Credit Cards
 
Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma, some college preferred or related experience
  • Must have knowledge of basic AP/AR procedures
  • Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors
  • High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel
