This position ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while leading shop personnel and maintaining a productive work environment.<\/span><\/div>\n

  • Manage all day-to-day fabrication shop operations.<\/li>\n
  • Supervise shop supervisors, welders, fitters, fabricators, machine operators, and support personnel.<\/li>\n
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize production to meet customer deadlines.<\/li>\n
  • Review fabrication drawings, specifications, and work orders for accuracy.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and quality standards.<\/li>\n
  • Conduct daily production meetings and communicate project priorities.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor fabrication quality and ensure work meets customer specifications and applicable codes.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, purchasing, logistics, and quality control teams.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor labor hours, production efficiency, and project costs.<\/li>\n
  • Train, mentor, and develop shop personnel.<\/li>\n
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed.<\/li>\n
  • Assist with hiring, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain equipment and coordinate preventative maintenance.<\/li>\n
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce waste.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure housekeeping and organization throughout the fabrication facility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • 7+ years of fabrication shop experience.<\/li>\n
    • 3-5+ years of supervisory or management experience in a fabrication or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n
    • Strong knowledge of structural steel and pipe fabrication processes.<\/li>\n
    • Experience supervising welders, fitters, fabricators, and shop personnel.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and isometric drawings.<\/li>\n
    • Working knowledge of welding processes including FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with production scheduling and workflow management.<\/li>\n
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with API, AWS, or AISC fabrication standards.<\/li>\n
    • Previous experience in heavy industrial, marine, civil, energy, or petrochemical fabrication.<\/li>\n
    • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.<\/li>\n
    • OSHA 30 certification (preferred).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
