Accounting Assistant 
 Are you an organized numbers person looking to build your career with a thriving local team in Columbia, TN? A premier local company is seeking a motivated Accounting Assistant to join the team.
 
Pay Rate  
 $18 an hour
 
Schedule and Hours  
8:00AM-5:00 PM Mon-Fri
 
 
 
Accounting Assistant Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Process, distribute, and reconcile customer invoices, monitor aging reports, and manage collections and deposits for accounts receivable 
  • Verify, code, and process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and maintain vendor files and W-9 records for Accounts Payable
  •  Enter transactions into accounting software, scan/file financial documents, and maintain accurate customer and vendor records
  • Coordinate billing with internal teams and support other departments
 
 
 
Accounting Assistant Qualifications and Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred
  • One year of bookkeeping, accounting, AR, or AP experience preferred. Basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with QuickBooks
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
