Assembler/Carpenter
Automation Personnel Services is searching for an Assembler/Carpenter for a company based in Conroe, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work for a company which is America’s largest supplier of building materials. You will be using your hands and hammers and other tools to assemble large wooden trusses used in the building industry.
Pay Rate
$16.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Saturday – 6:00am – 2:30pm
Assembler/Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assemble building material components such as roof and floor trusses
• Insert or position materials, clamps, splices, and fit parts by hand and with power tools.
• Verify dimensions of cut materials to ensure accuracy
• Perform quality control checks and inspect components for defects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize assembly processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery as needed.
• Follow detailed instructions and maintain high-quality standards.
• Closely always follow safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly.
Assembler/Carpenter Qualifications and Requirements:
• Prior construction experience preferred.
• Steel Toe Boots required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be physically fit, able to stoop, bend and squat for 8-10 hr. shifts.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods while swinging a hammer for 8-10hours.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• English and Spanish Speakers are welcome.
