DIESEL MECHANIC
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Diesel Mechanic for a company based in Geismar, LA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to anchor yourself in a permanent, permanent-track position within a rapidly expanding facility. You will join a high-energy team that keeps our fleet moving, climb the ranks through steady performance milestones, and build a lasting career from day one.
Pay Rate  
$20.00 – $30.00 per hour – DOE
Schedule and Hours  
Monday through Friday, 6 00 am to 4 00 pm
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered heavy equipment, trucks, and construction machinery. 
  • Perform preventive maintenance on engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, and electrical components. 
  • Inspect equipment to identify mechanical issues and ensure safe operation. 
  • Complete repairs on loaders, excavators, pavers, rollers, dump trucks, and other construction equipment. 
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. 
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
 
Qualifications and Requirements 
  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting. 
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment efficiently. 
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred. 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions. 
  • Reliable attendance and strong commitment to safety.
