ENGINEERING & EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Engineering & Equipment Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility based in Marietta, Georgia. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production and engineering by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment in a regulated environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering steady hours, long-term stability, and growth potential for experienced maintenance professionals.
Pay Rate
Based on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, exact shift and hours to be discussed during interview.
Flexibility for emergency maintenance calls may be required.
Engineering and Equipment Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment including filling lines, conveyors, mixers, pumps, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and utility system issues to minimize downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production support requests.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and document all work performed.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
• Follow GMP, safety, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and repair records.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment readiness and compliance.
• Support facility systems such as HVAC, air compressors, and other utilities.
Engineering and Equipment Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills.
