EQUIPMENT SALES DIRECTOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Equipment Sales Director for a capital equipment manufacturer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead high-value equipment sales initiatives, drive profitable revenue growth across a multi-state territory, and build long-term customer relationships in the food processing industry.
This is an opportunity for a career-oriented sales leader who thrives in technical solution selling, enjoys autonomy, and wants to make a measurable impact by closing complex, seven-figure capital equipment deals while developing and motivating a high-performing sales team.

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive/commission plan (commensurate with experience)

SCHEDULE AND TRAVEL
Full-time
Extensive travel required (greater than 65% annually)
Territory includes the Northeast, Eastern Seaboard, Carolinas, Gulf South, and Florida

Equipment Sales Director Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drive profitable revenue growth and exceed sales targets
  • Lead and manage the sales team to meet and exceed goals
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for capital equipment
  • Sell integrated production lines and complex technical solutions
  • Manage long sales cycles and negotiate deals exceeding $1M
  • Build strong customer and internal relationships
  • Forecast sales performance and manage pipeline
  • Represent the company at customer sites and industry events
Equipment Sales Director Qualifications & Requirements
  • Technical background (engineering-related) and/or experience in technical solution sales
  • Proven experience selling capital equipment with deal values exceeding $1M
  • Experience selling full production lines consisting of multiple integrated machines
  • Background in the food processing industry
  • Willingness to travel more than 65% of the year
  • Demonstrated career stability 
  • Minimum of 2 years in prior roles or companies
  • Experience with fewer than 5 employers overall
  • Strong career orientation with long-term growth mindset
Preferred
  • Sales team leadership experience
  • Documented sales accomplishments with deal values
  • Tortilla industry or tortilla equipment experience
