FOOD & NUTRITION SERVICES ASSOCIATE
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Food & Nutrition Services Associate to work in a local hospital in Mobile, AL. Cafeteria and food services are critical in a healthcare environment, so you will need to be detail oriented, compassionate and be able to perform in a fast-paced environment.  This role focuses on patient satisfaction, food preparation, tray delivery, sanitation, and compliance with hospital, safety, and dietary standards. Join us, we would love to have you on the team!
 
Pay Rate  
$14.00 per hour 
 
Schedule and Hours  
Open 7 days a week
Various shifts 40 hours per week
7:00am – 7:00pm
 
Food & Nutrition Services Associate Duties and Responsibilities  
• Prepare, portion, and assemble food items according to hospital menus, dietary guidelines, and sanitation standards
•  Deliver and collect patient meal trays in a timely and courteous manner
•  Accurately follow therapeutic diet orders, allergies, and special dietary restrictions
•  Provide excellent patient service by interacting professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and hospital staff
•  Assist patients as needed during meal service while maintaining dignity and respect
•  Ensure food quality, temperature control, and proper presentation
•  Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining spaces in compliance with health and safety regulations
•  Wash dishes, operate kitchen equipment, and restock supplies as assigned
•  Follow infection control, HIPAA, and hospital safety policies at all times
•  Support overall department operations and assist with additional tasks as needed
 
Food & Nutrition Services Associate Qualifications and Requirements  
•  Previous food service, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred
•  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•  Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness
•  Excellent customer service and communication skills
•  Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and pushing carts
•  Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs throughout each shift, lifting assessment will be performed
•  Background and Drug Test screening will be performed for this role
•  Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
