CNC Machinist
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist for a leading manufacturer of industrial radiography equipment and gamma-sealed source provider, located in St. Rose. Pay Rate
$22.00 – $24.00 per hour

Monday through Friday
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform manual and CNC machining in accordance with work instructions, engineering drawings, and production schedules.
- Set up, adjust, and remove tooling from machines; prepare materials and surfaces for machining.
- Operate CNC machines and related equipment to produce precision components.
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Complete work orders accurately and on time; identify and report defects or equipment issues.
- Maintain machines, tools, and work areas for safety and operational readiness.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and shipping teams to efficiently complete projects.
- Follow safety, quality, and regulatory procedures; participate in training programs.
- Cooperate with customers, regulators, or auditors as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information, including designs, processes, and shipment schedules.
CNC Machinist Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; machining, metal fabrication, or similar manufacturing experience required.
- Manual machining experience preferred (≈5 years).
- Skilled in reading engineering drawings, technical documents, and work instructions; able to perform shop math and use precision measuring tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) clearance; pass background checks and comply with drug-free workplace policy.
- Comfortable working around radioactive materials in a controlled environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physically able to lift/move heavy objects and perform tasks including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
- Able to work in environments with noise, heat, dust, chemicals, and radiation.
