GENERAL LABORERS

Automation Personnel Services is currently seeking dependable, safety-minded General Laborers for a company located in Jemison, AL. 
 
Pay Rate 
$18.00 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours 
  40 hours per week with possible overtime  
  First shift 
General Laborers –Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare metal materials by sanding the products
  • Operate basic tools and ability to read a tape measure
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all plant safety procedures
  • Assist with other production duties as assigned
General Laborers – Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous manufacturing, industrial or general labor experience is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 16th 
  • Comfortable working around steel, heat, noise and industrial equipment
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach and move throughout the shift
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Steel-toed boots and required personal protective equipment must be worn
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
 
Work Environment
This position is located inside an active steel galvanizing facility.
