Part-time Shipping/Receiving Associate
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a dedicated Shipping/Receiving Associate
for a Production company in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves key responsibilities in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, product storage, and organizing deliveries. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and supporting a safe, organized work environment. 

Pay Rate 
$19.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours 
Tuesday – Saturday: 5am -1:30pm (or until finished.)
Sunday – Thursday: 5am-1:30pm (or until finished.)
Friday – Tuesday: 5am – 1:30pm (or until finished.)
 
Shipping/Receiving Associate Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately pull and prepare orders for customer pickup or delivery, including loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • This position will be manually offloading tires, filters, and other material by hand.
  • Using an RF scanner to properly enter inventory for the material.
  • This position will be inbounding the items as well as handing them off directly to delivery drivers during the shift.
  • Also help with additional tasks around the warehouse as needed including trash pickup, reboxing, relabeling, etc. HEAVY LIFTING IS REQUIRED. 
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing orders to sales associates for processing.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
  • Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed.
  • Take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes.
  • Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition.
 
Shipping/Receiving Associate Qualifications and Requirements 
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, due to varying freight volumes.
  • Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
  • Experience loading and unloading trailers.
  •  Experience using handheld scanners.
  • The ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
  • Must be able to lift, push or pull at least 75 pounds.
  • Ability to load and unload trucks.
