Logistics Specialist 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Logistics Specialist for a company based in the Ballantyne area of NC. As a Specialist, Logistics, you will play a crucial role in supporting a brokerage operations team by performing track and trace functions for our customers. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage logistics operations, including order entry, routing, dispatching, and traffic coordination. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a team to ensure seamless logistics operations. Pay Rate 
$18.25 per hour 
 
Schedule and Hours 
First Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5 pm.
 
Logistics Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain customer profile information and enter load details from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.
  • Update account managers on problematic loads and the actions taken to resolve issues; communicate load statuses to receivers and customers.
  • Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring loads arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Take check calls from drivers to confirm on-time delivery; validate all load data before marking loads as delivered for accounting purposes.
  • Investigate and document product overages, shortages, and damages.
  • Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed; accept or decline loads based on account managers' direction.
  • Provide detailed directions and instructions to ensure drivers are properly routed.  
Logistics Specialist Qualifications and Requirements 
  • Basic Computer Knowledge, Microsoft Suite a PLUS! 
  • Team Player, Growth Mindset
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Job Type 
Full-time, temporary to permanent.
