MACHINE OPERATOR 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for several Machine Operators for a company based in Fairmount, GA. In this role you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Dehack equipment and setting machines, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring brick quality through size, coating, and texture checks. Supports all production areas, including Sand Preparation and Extruder operation, and fills in for breaks and absences as needed. Requires flexibility, attention to detail, safety compliance, and a willingness to learn. This position is full-time temporary to hire.
 
Pay Rate 
$16.00 per hour 
(Daily production incentive plus $50 weekly achievement bonus, if earned.)
 
Schedule and Hours 
Rotating day shift, 6am-6pm/ 7am-7pm
(2 on 2 off 3 on– working every other weekend) 
 
Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain Dehack equipment, setting machines, forklifts, cranes, and other production machinery. 
• Perform preventive maintenance, TPM, wire changes, and assist during breakdowns. 
• Support Sand Preparation, Extruder operation, and Setting Machine tasks. 
• Mix sand and slurry, assist with color feeder changes, and handle line setups and changeovers. 
• Conduct Q.C. checks for size, color, and texture; straighten poorly set cars and run car cleaner as needed. 
• Monitor grippers and robots for accurate kiln car setup. 
• Use hand tools for adjustments and repairs, proficient with tape measures, calipers, and scales. 
• Meet production goals while maintaining safety compliance and housekeeping standards. 
• Communicate effectively, multitask, and support co-workers as needed. 
• Work safely, follow protocols, and demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn.
 
Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements 
• Machine operating experience preferred; ability to learn automated machinery. 
• Ability to read calipers and tape measures. 
• Willingness to assist throughout the plant as needed. 
• Must wear PPE at all times (hardhat, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, respirators, etc). 
• Ability to twist, stoop, bend, and lift bricks from floor level frequently.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. (in office assessment will be conducted)
