MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Maintenance Technician for a company based in Marion/Bessemer, Alabama. 
Maintenance Technician oversees performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs. Responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. Required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.

Pay Rate 
$26.00-32.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Thursday, 5 30 am to 4 30 pm*
Friday, 6 00 am to 12 00 pm*
*Subject to change based on business needs

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for all production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
• Perform basic equipment diagnosis for both electrical and mechanical issues.
• Changing over lines and washing down (cleaning) equipment as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining the plant’s overall preventive maintenance programs.
• Keep records of equipment failures and plant work orders.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements 
• Responsible for identifying what parts of the plant’s facilities are in need of additional work and necessary improvements. Work with staff and ensure that the plant is safe and operates at peak conditions.
• Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and is following Global Food Safety standards. Troubleshoot PLC systems and other control systems and install wiring systems for power and control.
• Install and repair ac/dc motors, starters, relays, and drives. Welding and machining experience
• Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed under GFSI guidelines. Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings
• Other duties as assigned.
