Maintenance Technician
Automation Personnel Services, a highly regarded and award-winning staffing agency, is growing its presence in southern Georgia. We are seeking motivated Maintenance Technicians with programming experience for a leading battery cell manufacturer near Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing production lines designed to assemble battery cells. Upon completion of the lines, you will be responsible for ensuring that the lines run to optimal performance. This is an opportunity to join an innovative team working toward a more sustainable future.
Pay Rate 
Day Shift – $28.00 per hour
Night Shift – $30.80 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours
Day Shift – 7AM – 6PM
Night Shift – 7PM – 6AM
Some overtime and weekend work will be required
 
Travel Requirements 
There are multiple battery plants across the United States and travel to different locations may be required. All travel costs will be covered as well as meals
 
Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements to support production efficiency and quality goals
• Program, set up, and operate automated and computer-controlled machinery to meet production specifications and quality standards
• Write, edit, and troubleshoot machine programs (CNC, PLC, HMI, or proprietary systems) to ensure efficient and accurate operation
• Inspect, test, and monitor machines and equipment to quickly identify causes of malfunctions and prevent downtime
• Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems to meet strict operational standards and tolerances
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment life, reduce unexpected breakdowns, and improve overall reliability
• Apply engineering and technical knowledge to evaluate equipment performance, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment testing through accurate system logs, manuals, and reports
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures while contributing to a clean, organized, and safe work environment
 
Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements:
• 1 – 3 years job related experience preferred including any combination of skills, experience, or specialized education or training in the following (multi-skilled preferred) electrical, mechanical, or automation
• Proficiency in English communication, including both written and verbal skills, is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend for duration of a 12–hour shift as well as lift 50lbs consistently
• Ability to wear PPE and operate in a sterile environment including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, safety suits, bump caps, hearing protection, gloves, and adhere to prescribed safety rules and guidelines. 
• Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment, including exhibiting strong interpersonal and communication skills with your peers  
• Criminal background check and drug screening required
