MATERIAL HANDLER 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Material Handler for a Metal Processing Company in Mobile, AL. Are you looking for a solid, hands-on job with room to grow? This role offers steady work, competitive pay, and the chance to build real skills in a fast-paced industrial environment. 
 
Pay Rate  
$18.50 per hour 
 
Schedule and Hours  
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
 
Material Handler Duties and Responsibilities 
• Pull, stage, and assemble customer orders based on work orders and delivery schedules 
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, and other heavy equipment 
• Safely secure materials for transport to ensure stability and prevent damage 
• Verify materials, quantities, and specifications before loading and shipping 
• Tag and label materials for proper identification and tracking 
• Operate machinery to cut & finish steel products 
• Perform basic material processing tasks such as grinding or torch cutting as needed 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 
 
Material Handler Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Basic math skills, including the ability to work with fractions and decimals 
• Experience reading measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers 
• Industrial warehouse experience preferred 
• Forklift experience required 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect materials for quality 
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods 
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in an outdoor/industrial environment<span fr-original-style="font-family:Arial;" style="font-family: Arial; box-sizing: border-box; font-size: inherit;">; Lift assessment will be performed
• Must pass a criminal background check, and drug screen
