Materials and Purchasing Manager
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Materials and Purchasing Manager for a company based in Elkmont, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow to support manufacturing operations while optimizing inventory levels, supplier performance and procurement costs. 

Pay Rate 
$115,000 annually

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 7 30 am to 4 00 pm.

Materials and Purchasing Manager Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage supplier agreements, and contracts.
  • Manage MRP/ERP planning processes and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Monitor purchasing spend and budget performance.
 
Materials and Purchasing Manager Qualifications and Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering or related field. 
  • 5+ years of purchasing, materials management, or supply chain leadership experience.
  • Manufacturing environment experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis, including power BI.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred.
