OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a versatile Operations Assistant for a company based in Baton Rouge, LA, to support both Human Resources and Marketing departments. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys administrative tasks but also wants to use their digital marketing skills to help the company expand and succeed.
Pay Rate
$18
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Operations Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to HR, Marketing, and Executive teams on operational tasks and initiatives.
- Manage vendor contracts, compliance documentation, and regulatory filings.
- Coordinate and manage all administrative functions for board meetings, staff meetings, company events, and internal communications.
- Proactively manage the corporate calendar and assist the executive team with expense reporting.
- Oversee general office operations, including managing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining office supply inventory, and coordinating equipment service calls and helpdesk tickets.
- Support corporate culture initiatives and special projects across all functions of the organization.
- Assist the Marketing department with agent/branch licensing searches, appointment renewals, and system administrator duties for management software including Salesforce.com.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Operations Assistant Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of work experience as an operations assistant and supporting marketing initiatives.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Experience with Canva and Mailchimp is a plus, as is content creation experience.
- Knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) for posting/scheduling content, including basic photo/video editing.
