Payroll Clerk 

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant / Accounts Payable & Payroll Clerk located in Westwego , LA to support daily office operations, accounts payable functions, payroll processing, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while providing excellent customer service to employees, vendors, and clients.
 
Pay Rate 
$25.00 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours 
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
 
Payroll Clerk Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices, maintain accounts payable records, and assist with month-end reporting. 
  • Process employee payroll accurately, maintain payroll records, and resolve payroll inquiries while ensuring confidentiality. 
  • Create purchase orders in Ariba and support purchasing activities as needed. 
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, manage correspondence, and provide professional front desk support. 
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, prepare reports and spreadsheets, and handle general administrative tasks. 
  • Assist with office supply management, filing, audits, and other special projects as assigned.
 
Payroll Clerk Qualifications and Requirements 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred. 
  • 3-6 years of experience in accounts payable, payroll, administrative support, clerical work, or office administration preferred. 
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable procedures. 
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite required. 
  • Experience with Medius and Ariba preferred. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
