PIPEYARD HELPER 
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Pipeyard Helper for a company based in Mobile, AL. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for assisting the forklift operator with loading/unloading product onto or from trucks and moving pipe within the yard.
 
Pay Rate
$15 – $17 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours  
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
 
Pipeyard Helper Duties and Responsibilities
• Ability to follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved
• Verifies heat numbers, quantity, and complete chocking of pipe 
• Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Painting, stenciling, sandblasting, coating pipes
• Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
• Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
 
Pipeyard Helper Qualifications and Requirements
• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, including weekends (normal schedule: 50 hours per week)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
• Reliable transportation
• Committed to working safely at all times and following all company policies and procedures
• Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed
