PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Production Assistant for a company based in St. Gabriel, Louisiana.  In this position you will prepare a high volume of food products according to standardized recipes and formulas, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to all food safety standards. This role involves hands-on cooking, monitoring production processes, and collaborating with the culinary team to meet production schedules and quality control guidelines. 

Pay Rate 
$15 to $20 per hour (DOE)

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (may require some overtime)

Production Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Recipe Execution: Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients, according to established recipes and production guidelines.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of kitchen equipment such as an agitator or paddle to mix ingredients.  
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality and consistency of all food products during preparation and cooking, ensuring they meet the company's standards for taste, appearance, and temperature.
  • Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, ensuring all health and safety, regulations are strictly followed.
  • Inventory & Storage: Assist with managing inventory and finished products
Production Assistant Qualifications and Requirements 

  • Proven experience in a high-volume cooking or food production role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, various cooking methods, and food safety principles.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow recipes and formulas accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
Job Type 
Full-time, temporary to hire
