STAND UP FORKLIFT OPERATORS
Automation Personnel Services is seeking dependable and hardworking Stand Up Forklift Operators to join a client’s manufacturing team in Moody, AL. This position is ideal for experienced forklift operators who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play a key role in safely moving, storing, loading, and shipping products while supporting daily warehouse operations.
 
Pay Rate 
$18.00 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours 
7:45am -3:45pm with move to 10am-6pm shift
 
Stand-Up Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse/plant
  • Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment and forklifts.
  • Move finished goods and packaging materials to designated warehouse locations.
  • Stock, organize, and replenish inventory while maintaining warehouse accuracy.
  • Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures when storing and pulling products.
  • Pull orders using correct lot codes, item numbers, and shipping documentation.
  • Stage products for shipment and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Palletize, wrap, and prepare finished products for shipping.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or signs of tampering and report issues to management.
  • Verify shipments against receiving and shipping documents.
  • Attach receiving tags and labels to incoming materials.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Stand-Up Forklift Operator Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift required.
  • Forklift certification preferred, or ability to become certified.
  • Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read and follow shipping documents, bills of lading (BOLs), and inventory records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and productivity standards.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work safely around warehouse equipment, machinery, and industrial environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
