Carpenters & Roof Truss Builders
Automation Personnel Services is looking for Carpenters & Roof Truss Builders for a company based in the Bartow, FL. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for cutting wood, assembling cut material into floor and roof trusses, pulling & stacking metals and lumber, and other related tasks. 
This is a temp to permanent position with growth opportunity!
 
Pay Rate 
$17.00 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours 
Monday to Thursday from 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Mandatory overtime on Fridays
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Read and interpret measurements and work orders to assemble roof trusses.
  • Identify, sort, and assemble wood components according to specifications.
  • Operate machinery and equipment used to fasten materials with glue, metal plates, and other fasteners.
  • Set up and safely operate presses, nail guns, saws, and other production equipment.
  • Cut, sand, and assemble wood components with attention to quality and detail.
  • Move lumber through the production process, including loading materials into machinery and stacking finished products onto hand trucks.
  • Follow proper lifting and material-handling techniques at all times.
 
Qualifications and Requirements 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and use tape measurements accurately.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience sanding and preparing wood components.
  • Knowledge of wood products, lumber, hardware, and door/truss components is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
